Hotels in the Masuria region
HOTEL KLEKOTKIKlekotki is a tiny spot situated among the lakes and forests of Masuria region. You need to know its location in order to get there as it does not belong to the sort of places you can come across by accident. The mill’s estate placed between the cities Morąg and Pasłęk by the charming lake consists of: the miller’s house, the stable and the smithy. The whole property is dated 1619 (the date is confirmed by the stone board on the front elevation of one of the buildings). The mill built at that time has recently been turned into a modern, original and exclusive resort. But before it has happened the estate changed its owners through centuries. Until 70’s it was still a working mill. In 1995 Tirsped Ltd – a logistic and forwarding company bought the estate starting at the same time a completer renovation of the property. The restoration and modernization was carrier out by the Warsaw architectural studio “Bogusławski i Partnerzy”.
As the renovation works were carried out the concept of the future purpose of the estate has become quite clear. The main idea was to create a luxury place ideal for business meetings, trainings and individual relax far away from fashionable and crowded tourists attractions and noisy holiday resorts. The biggest problem was putting together the historic character of the estate with the function of the modern , well – equipped hotel. But the huge area of the estate made is possible to place the buildings in such a way so that they could correspond to the surrendering nature. The area was additional enriched with dendrological spots.
The pride of the hotel is its interior design - being described in many magazines concerning the subject of architecture and design. The furnishing and accessories were chosen with the biggest attention and good taste. During the restoration many of the authentic and historical elements were remained unchanged including: the wooden ceiling with floral motives, decorative tile stove, fragments of mill’s equipment, beautiful joist ceiling covered with withing lime in the fireplace room. The building of the former stable has been changed into a restaurant and a bar. Just next to it there is a winter garden with the hand stained clay tile floor. The winter garden is one of the biggest attraction of the hotel. The guests are separated from the garden by the huge glass wall – which especially in the winter period remains an unforgettable impression. Thanks to a newly built object the hotel offers right now 42 rooms including suites, two conference rooms for 62 and 124 people, winery in the cellar, fireplace room, glass veranda for 15 people and a charming SPA.
